Robert P. Elder, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1987, passed away on September 29, 2007.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Thelma Elder, children, Deborah K. Potter and her husband, Wade of Rio Rancho, NM and Don Elder and his wife, Lynn of Rio Rancho, NM, sister, Carol Compton of Winfield, KS, grandsons, Chris Potter of Rio Rancho, NM and Nathan Romine and his wife, Melissa of Rio Rancho, NM, granddaughter, Cynthia Stratton and her husband, Will of Oceanside, CA, three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Sophia and Ryan, nieces, Cynthia Compton and Janice Rothlauf and nephew, Richard Elder.
Robert retired from the United States Navy, serving two separate terms.
Robert retired from Honeywell in 1987.
Robert's hobbies included playing golf and making golf clubs for his friends.
A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. A Committal Service will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
