MORE SHOOTING
On Sunday, June 11th, parties reported to be Elmer and "Shiner" Upchurch came to Mt. Pisgah and sold a lot of moonshine and disturbed a religeous (religious) assembledge and announced they would return the following Wednesday night. Citizens who were in attendance at the meeting came to town and were advised they had the right to arrest the parties if they were being disturbed. The boys did return on Wednesday and when Shell Green, James Walters, and others went to them, they opened fire on them, wounding Walters. The fire was returned and both Upchurch boys were wounded slightly. They have not been arrested but Joe Upchurch was arrested the following night at a still and the still was destroyed.
