June E. Jenks, 78, of Fairland, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville.
Born Sept. 20, 1923, in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of John D. and Cora L. (Hill) Robbins. She married William L. Jenks in 1942; he preceded her in death in 1984.
Mrs. Jenks was a graduate of Pilgrim Bible College in Frankfort. She was a supervisor in the admitting department at Memorial Hospital in Ormond Beach, Fla., for 25 years, having retired in 2002 due to illness.
Survivors include one son, Larry Jenks of Fairland; three brothers, Ernie of Greensburg, Harold of Orange Springs, Fla., and John Ed Robbins of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Rose Voris of Waldron, Thelma Robbins of Rushville, and Louise Gordon of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
Burial will take place in Memorial Gardens in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the hospice of the donor's choice.
