Romeo Jones, 89, 2500 East Main st., died Wednesday at St. John's Hospital. A native of Tipton county, he had retired in 1946 from the Gulf Mobile Railroad shops in Bloomington, Ill. He was a member of the East Main Street Christian Church. Surviving are a brother, Ancel Jones, Portland, Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Strader, Clearwater, Florida; and Mrs. Maggie Fisher, Elwood, with whom he had made his home for the past 24 years. Friends may call from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Clark Chapel. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery at Windfall.
