George Washington Jones, long time resident of Windfall, died early Monday morning at the home of his nephew, George Courtney and wife in Windfall, where he resided for the past two years. The deceased was the son of Thomas and Eliza (Jones) Jones, and was born December 24, 1856 at Warrensburg, Missouri. On August 22, 1879, he was married to Etheline Fields of Kentucky, and the couple moved to Windfall in 1882, spending the remainder of their lives in that town. Mrs. Jones died several years ago. For some time Mr. Jones was engaged in farming, and for a number of years, he was employed as field man for the Regal packing company. Surviving are seven children; Mrs. Charles Adams, of Cynthiana, Kentucky; Mrs. Henry Landseadel and Mrs. Chester Strader of Elwood; Ancil Jones, of Portland, Oregon; Leo, of Arlington, Texas; Romeo, of Bloomington, Ill,; and Elwood Jones, of Kansas City, Missouri.
