He had lived in the Crawfordsville area since 1963, moving from Covington. He was a graduate of Perrysville High School in 1932, Indiana Normal College in Danville, Ind., and received his master's degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind. He taught at Rabb, Cates, Cayuga, Perrysville, Covington, where he was elementary principal, and was principal at the Crawfordsville schools. He was a former trustee of Wabash Township. He was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a member of West Liberty Church of Christ. He attended Woodland Heights Christian Church in Crawfordsville.
He was born April 1, 1913, in Wabash Township, Fountain County, Ind., the son of Frank and Anna Cadman Coleman. He married Ruth M. Carter Aug. 20, 1932, in Williamsport, Ind. She survives. Also surviving: one son, Clyde (Georgiann) Coleman of Crawfordsville; four daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Roberta) Gibson of Cory, Ind., Mrs. Louis (Sandra) Green in Woodland, Pa., Mrs. AI (Myma) Harden of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Wayne (Myra Jane) Deckard of Syracuse, Ind.; two sisters, Bessie Anderson and Grace Wilson, both of Covington; a brother, Donald Coleman of Covington Route 1; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by a son, Dale, five brothers and a grandson.
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Shelby Funeral Home in - Covington; Burial: Mt.
