Hans Hagen, 76, died at his home in the Village of lola Monday morning, after a four month illness. A native of Norway and a retired farmer, he formerly lived in the Town of Alban and the Town of Scandinavia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, Alban, with the Rev. Emil Dockter officiating.

Burial will be in the Alban Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Voie Funeral Home, lola, and after noon Thursday at the church.

Mr. Hagen was born in East Gausdal, Norway, Oct. 3, 1894. He came to the United States in 1913 and lived in Mount Horeb for five years before moving to Alban.

On Oct. 27, 1918, he was married at Alban to Julia Lee. They lived in Alban and then farmed in the Town of Scandinavia for 14 years before moving to lola a year ago.

Mr. Hagen is survived by his wife; three sons, Arthur, Verona, Glen, Waupaca, and Robert, Mount Horeb; seven daughters, Mrs. L.D. (Hattie) Haroldson, Skokie, 111., Mrs. Vivian Thorncroft, Geneva, 111., Mrs. June Cummings, Northbrook, 111., Mrs. Earl (Irene) Dobbe and Mrs. Howard (Delores) Wilson, Waupaca, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Pierce, Wheeling, III., and Mrs. Eugene (Burnell) Opsal, Mount Horeb; two brothers, Axel and Laureus, in Norway; 38 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
