Funeral services for William J. Fricke, who passed away at Lundberg Memorial Hospital June 10, at the age of 71, were conducted Thursday, June 12 at Hengstler's Chapel with the Rev. Gorden S. Jensen, pastor of the Congregational-Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. E.W.Stokes and Mrs. Joe Radosti sang "The Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "No Night There" accompanied by Mrs. Lawrence Condon. Interment was in the Winnetoon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Kienow, Dan Kelley, Harold Squire, R.R. Jones, August Vogt and Edwin Boggs Sr.

William John Fricke was born to Henry and Alvina Fricke on Oct. 22. 1886, four miles west of Winnetoon. He was baptized in the Lutheran church at Bazile Mills.

In 1909 he was united in marriage to Pearl Nye of Winnetoon. The couple established their home six miles west of Winnetoon for four years. In 1913 the family moved to Winnetoon where he operated a dray line. Mr. Fricke entered the trucking business in 1927 and retired in 1951.

Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Fricke, Allan and Evelyn.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, three brothers and one grandson.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. R.E. Noyer of Winnetoon, his son Allan of Hastings, one grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Younger and Miss Emma Fricke of Glendale, Calif. and one brother, Vern of Winnetoon.
