Bessie England Garrett Ridge, age 82 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the family home. Preceded in death by husbands, Lester Garrett and Luther Ridge; son, Birch Garrett; daughter, Estella Garrett; sister, Ruth Whitmore; brothers, Denist England, Birch England and Lakes England.
Survivors, daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret ``Maggie'' and Harry Farmer of Maryville, Marie and Ronald Downey of Maryville, Mary and John Gidley of Puerto Rico; sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Garrett of Maryville, James ``Jim'' and Ruth Garrett of Ohio; stepson and step daughter-in-law, Sam and Delorise Garrett of Maryville; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel. Interment service 10:00 a.m. Saturday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
