HANSTON - Lloyd Delmer Bamberger, 92, died May 4, 2006, at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.


He was born April 18, 1914, Hodgeman County, the son of Charles and Agnes Isebel Hertel Bamberger. A lifetime Hodgeman County resident, he was a farmer and stockman.

On Sept. 29, 1939, he married Alice Nadine Pittaway in Jetmore. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Paul, Hanston; four daughters, Karen N. Sato, Los Gatos, Calif., Cindy K., Sundell-Guy, and Lisa N. Edwards, both of Wichita, and Tamara K. Bamberger, Hanston; a brother, Chris, Jetmore; two sisters, Irene Holmes, Hanston, and Sue Haas, Ness City; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Hanston, with the Rev. Mitch Reece presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Fairmont Cemetery, Jetmore.

Memorials may be sent to the Lloyd Bamberger Memorial Fund, in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City.
