JAMES W. WAITE - James W. Waite, well known Snyder township resident, died at his home at Grazierville this morning at 4:05 o'clock following an extended illness with complications. Mr. Waite was a son of David and Mary Waite, and was born on January 10, 1860. His wife, Salley McFarland Waite, died on February 20, 1938. He is survived by these children: W.J. Waite, F.H. Waite, Bessie May Gebheart, E.E. Waite, of Tyrone, Gertrude Anne Brouse, Mount Union; Clair E. Reeder, Cleveland, O. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Shelow, of Windber, and Mrs. Ann McFarland, of Turtle Creek. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, including a grand-daughter, Charlot L. Woomer, who resided with her grandfather, and ten great-grandchildren. One daughter died a number of years ago. He was a member of the Grazierville Methodist church and the P.R.R. Retired Men's association. Prior to his retirement he was employed as an assistant track foreman on the Middle Division. Funeral services will be held at the Grazierville Methodist church on Monday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Rev. Lloyd B. Schear. Burial will be made in the Grazierville cemetery."
