Obit sent by Michael S. Caldwell "Altoona, PA: Altoona Mirror, issue of Wednesday, 31 August 1927, p. 18, col. 1: DAVID B. WAITE - A lifelong resident of Tyrone and vicinity, died Tuesday evening at 6..30 o'clock at his home at Thomastown, a suburb of Tyrone, death being attributed to tuberculosis. He had been in failing health for three years. He was born at Grazierville Oct. 17, 1873, the son of David and Mrs. Mary (Eakin) Waite, both deceased. He lived all his life in the vicinity of Tyrone and was employed as trackhand by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. Thirty years ago he was united in marriage with Miss S. Gertrude Grazier, who died twenty-three years ago. He is survived by one son, Earl C. Waite, at home, and the following brothers and sisters: David Waite, John H. Waite and Miss Lulu Waite of Thomastown, James W. Waite of Grazierville, Mrs. Margaret Edmiston of Bellwood, Mrs. Thomas Shelow of Tyrone and Mrs. Edwin McFarland of Turtle Creek. He was a member of Allegheny Gateway lodge of Odd Fellows, the P.O.S. of A., the P.O. of A., the Junior Order United American Mechanics and the P.R.R. relief. He was a lifelong member of the Grazierville Methodist church, where funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of his pastor, Rev. Rigby, assisted by Rev. Bassler of Alexandria. Interment in the Grazierville cemetery."
