Joseph H. Shamlin is the son of Lindsey N. Shamlin and Sarah A. (or E.) (Holley) Shamlin. The location of his grave is not known, but believed to be at the Holley Cemetery in Prentiss County, MS, or possibly at the Armstrong Cemetery in Prentiss County, MS. Also, the exact date of his death is a guess since no records of his death and burial can be found. (Note: I didn't know when I created this memorial that Michael Shamlin had already created one. I am leaving this one due to the fact that I cannot get in touch with Michael in order to create links, etc. Michael has the original of the picture shown here. It belongs to my 82 year old mother and she would dearly love to get it back, but he will not respond to letters or emails. I hope that he is alright).
