Warren County native Betty Elizabeth Dixon Nunley, 82, died May 16 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Mt. Leo Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Wash Dixon and Mary Lowe. She married Alvin Eugene Nunley on May 3, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1986.
She is survived by three daughters, Alda Bandy and Velma Hobbs, both of McMinnville and Elizabeth Winningham of Indiana; one son Luther Nunley of McMinnville; and three sisters, Lela McGee of McMinnville, Hattie Martin of Hendersonville; and Janie Malone of Missouri. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at High's Chapel with David Costello and Doris Hughes officiating. Burial followed at Armstrong Cemetery. High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
