Margaret died as the result of a lack of medical care late in her pregnancy and at the birth of her stillborn child. The father admitted to burying the baby in a chicken coop on their farm and that he had buried another baby there about three years prior. The husband was sentenced to almost 2 year at the state penal farm for burying the baby and neglecting the other children.
