Adam Smith of Coteau Holmes Succumbs at 69
Adam Smith, 69, died suddenly Monday at his residence in Coteau Holmes, LA at 12 PM.
A native of Iberia Parish and a retired farmer. He was the son of the late Adam Smith and Angelle Watkins Smith, both of Iberia Parish.
Survivors include his wife; the former Maxillia Badeaux; four sons; Dennis Smith and Delmus Smith both of Coteau Holmes, LA., Adam Smith, III of Port Isabel, Texas, and Herman Smith of Raceland, LA; three daughters, Mrs. Lorita (Adam) Hulin of New Iberia, LA, Mrs. Maxillia (Emmett) Crochet of Coteau Holmes, LA and Mrs. Rita (Lucas) Gorman of Franklin, LA; four brothers; Lessin Smith of Erath, LA, Jules Smith of Cameron, LA, John Smith of Gueydan, LA and Clesme Smith of New Orleans, LA; two sisters, Mrs. Eva (John) Wiley and Mrs. Julia (Louis) Colwart, both of Morgan City, LA and 28 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be in Coteau Holmes, LA. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in New Iberia, LA
