In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Carico;
three brothers, Paul, James, and John Anderson;
nine sisters, Pearl, Anna, Mary, Nellie, Alta, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Floretta, and Dorothy.
She is survived by her husband, Willard Woodrow Carico. They would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on December 24th.
Survivors also include: her son and daughter-in-law, Arthur (Art) and Sharon Carico of Lutz, FL;
grandchildren, Kimberly Carico Lanius and Michael Carico; one sister, Reva Moews of Fontana, CA;
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Martha was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) where she held many positions including Primary Sunday School President. She and her husband also served as missionaries at the Washington, DC Temple. Martha attended public schools in Fairmont, WV and Marshall University. Martha and her husband owned and operated two grocery stores in Huntington, The Square Deal and Carico's Grocery.
Viewing was at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, one hour before the funeral service with Huntington First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
