Death of Mrs. Josiah Tasker.
Mrs. Josiah Tasker, wife of the well-known restaurant keeper, died at 4 o'clock Thursday, aged sixty-eight years. She had been ill for some time with pneumonia and had begun to improve when a relapse set in. Mrs. Tasker's maiden name was Louisa A. Kendall. She was the daughter of Zebediah Kendall of Fulton, Oswego county, where her widowed mother, who is eighty-five years old, now lives. In 1846 Miss Kendall was married to Mr. Tasker at Oswego. They came to Syracuse shortly after and for forty years Mr. Tasker has been in the restaurant business, Mrs. Tasker assisting in the management. Besides Mr. Tasker, four daughters survive her, Mrs. William O'Conner and Mrs. Wesley M. Moss of this city, Mrs. John Hiscock of Homer and Mrs. Palmer Cleveland of New York. A brother and sister live at Fulton, Henry Kendall and Miss Elizabeth Kendall, and a sister at Utica and another at Boston. The funeral will be from the home of Mrs. O'Conner, No. 7 May place, South Salina street, on Saturday afternoon.

Louisa A., wife of Josiah Tasker, the well known restaurateur, of Syracuse, died at the family residence, 124 East Genesee street, last Thursday morning. She was well known in Syracuse, where for forty years she had assisted her husband in catering to the wants of their patrons. She was born in Fulton 68 years ago, being the daughter of the late Zebediah Kendall, a brother of Dr. J. V. Kendall of this village. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon.
