Services for Lucille Curtis, 72, of Arvin, will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 11th., at 2p.m. in the chapel of the J.W. Sams and Sons Funeral Home, Arvin. Rev. Colombus Moody will officiate and burial will follow in the Arvin District Cemetery. Mrs. Curtis died Jan. 7th. in Templeton.
She was born May 10th. 1917, in the Galla Rock Community, of Pottsville, Pope county, Arkansas to Alvis Marion Taylor Sr. and Sarah Emily Lillie Birge Taylor.
She came to Arvin in 1943. She worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years for Frick Farms.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; two sons, Bobby of Ataseadero and Randy of Stockton; two daughters, Patricia Richardson of Arvin and Sheila Holland of Bakersfield; a brother, Alvis Marion Taylor Jr. of Russellville, Arkansas; two sisters, Ethel Curtis of Arvin and Mary Ellen Lynch of London Arkansas; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Casket bearers will be Larry Reeves, Kevin Reeves, Marvin Varnell, Steve Reeves, Toby Curtis and Sergio Contreras. Honorary bearer is Jessie DeLatorre
