Mrs. Alphea Fowler Dies
Pioneer Kansas Woman Was Topekan For 47 Years

Mrs. Alphea O. Fowler, 76, widow of the late E.C. Fowler, died Monday morning at her home, 2116 North Kansas avenue. She was born September 18, 1860, in Greensburg, Pa.,and came to Kansas in 1878, settling at Holton. She had made her home in Topeka 47 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. J.P. Paxton, Wichita; Mrs. John Everett, Mrs. Paul M. Roote and Mrs. Henry Bromich, all of Topeka; a son, Paul M. Fowler, Tulsa, Okla., 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wall-Doffenderfer mortuary. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
