Faunce Ashcraft was born July 25, 1920, on Frank's Run, Doddridge Co., the son of Ira and Iva Ice Ashcraft. He married Florence Katherine Talerico.
Surviving are his daughter, Gloria Ashcraft; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, in 1975; a son, Alan J. Ashcraft, in 1999; three brothers, Paul, Vance and Ronald; and three sisters, Lillian Robinson, Sarah Adams, and Emagene Costilow.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
