Found in The State (Columbia, SC) 08 September 1964 in conflict with his grave marker: Mr. Frank Burley, 43, of J-5 Gonzales Gardens, employed with Congaree Iron and Steel Company, died early Monday morning at the Baptist Hosptial after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Burley was born in Monticello, a son of the late Frank Tillman and Bessie Smith Burley. He had lived in Columbia for the past 6 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruby Marsh Burley; six children, Frankie, Johnnie, Ruby Jean, Claudis Albert, Mary Ellen and Peggy Ann Burley, all of the home; three sisters, Mrs. F. H. (Mary) Brown and Mrs. C. R. (Margaret) Adams, both of Columbia and Mrs. Johnny (Bessie) Musgrove of Charleston; two brothers, Charles Burley of Columbia and John William Burley of Rock Hill. Also surviveng are a number of nieces and nephews.
