Susan Adeline White Hill was the daughter and second child of John William White and Mary Adeline Thomas White of Cincinnati, Ohio and Ripley County, Indiana. Prior to coming to Cincinnati, they resided in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York.

Susan Hill survived her husband Silas Hill by twenty-nine years and never remarried.

Sue was born in Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. When she was about ten years old, her family relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, in about 1850.

She was the sister of Sophronia E. White Williams Curran, John Thomas White, Potter Job White, George H. White and Harriet E. White McMakin.

In the early years of her marriage, she and her husband Silas "Si" Foree Hill lived in Moores Hill, Dearborn County, Indiana. In her later years as a widow, she resided in Clermont County, Ohio.

She was the mother of seven children. Not shown below, she was also the mother of Edward Hill.

Sue's was the fourth burial in this plot. She is beside her beloved husband Si. Sue was the owner of this plot with twelve burial spaces on a hill at Spring Grove cemetery.
