A widower when his wife Betty Louise Goss of 56 years passed on January 27, 2003. Lonely and longing for companionship, Ralph re-married his longtime friend widower Loraine Fulton from Boswell, Somerset County, PA 5 years ago. The two knew had known each other's former spouses having all attended the same Boswell, Somerset County High School. The new couple after marriage choose to become snow birds living in Lorraine's Somerset home 6 months a year and in Ralph's Cape Coral home the other 1/2 of the year, which home was near where his daughter lived.
Ralph Lape was unquestionably an active person (read his obit) enjoying among many hobbies genealogy research projects. He had quite a quite a gift of conversation with a very pleasing personality.
Ralph Lape's obituary was published both in the Johnstown, PA Tribune Democrat Newspaper and in the Somerset, PA Daily American Newspaper on July 11, 2011..
Ralph's body was interned next to his first wife Betty in the Coral Ridge Cemetery, Cape Coral, Florida.
