Melvin Olson, 81, Dies September 25 In Washington
Melvin Olson , 81, of 12640 South East Fourth Place, Bellevue, Wash. and once of this area, died Monday September 25, at Washington.
Funeral services for Melvin Olson were held Thursday at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of the Flowers at Bellevue with Rev. Frank R Burgess officiation. Interment was at Sunset Hills Memorial Park at Bellevue, Wash.
Melvin Olson was born in Minnesota on March 21, 1886 and lived in Middle River, Holt and Thief River Falls until moving to Seattle, Wash., in 1944. He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Bellevue.
He is survived by wife Ruth: five daughters Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Kilander, Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Marvin (Mary Margaret) Jaegers, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Harlan (Helen) Fick, Anaheim, Calif., Mrs. Leroy (Enid) Gilbert, Bellevue, Wash., and Mrs. Donald (Marjorie) McPhall of Muskegun, Mich.; 18 grandchildren, Fiver great-grandchildren.
Also one sister and five brothers: Miss Eliza Olson, Lennie, Henry, Nobel, George and Edgar Olson all of Middle River and five nieces and five nephews.
