Reverend George "Erwin" Baker Jr., son of Reverend George E. and Emily "Emma" Smith Baker, Sr., beloved husband of Laura Elizabeth Parker, devoted father of George E. Baker III, John Leslie, Emily Elizabeth and Iris Frances, loving grandfather of 14.

An honored member of the World War I United States Navy Band, playing saxophone and clarinet as well as being an all-star player for the Navy's Battleship USS Utah, football team.

George became a Baptist Preacher after graduating from Cumberland College, University of The Cumberlands, Williamsburg, KY, graduating with honors, and Class of 1922, Valedictorian! He later co-hosted a radio broadcast with his father and wife, Laura - WHIR Danville, Kentucky in the mid 1950's.
