MULLINS - Miss Jennie E. Meggs, 77, died Friday in a local nursing home after a short illness.
Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Nancy Hayes Meggs. Miss Meggs was a retired school teacher.
Surviving are a brother, Frank M. Meggs of Miami, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Clara M. Allen of Marion.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Rose Hill Cemetery.
