Dora Mae Shaffer Sitzler Schmollinger (Oct. 30, 2001) Dora Mae Shaffer Sitlzer Schmollinger formerly of Madisonville, died Oct. 30 in Auburn, Wash. She was born May 27, 1938 in Mineral Bluff, Ga. She loved God and attending church, playing with young children, visiting with her family and friends, flower gardening, reading, playing checkers (especially with her son), working jigsaw puzzles and picking blackberries. She was 73. Preceded in death by: husbands, Newton Elmer Sitzler of Mt. Vernon; and Richard Birge Schmollinger of Greenville, Ill.; parents, Garnett and Alta Shaffer; and eight brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law-Margaret and Leon Daniels of Federal Way, Wash.; Ruth and Robert Hase of Graham, Wash.; Son and daughter-in-law-Grady and Carla Sitzler of Federal Way; 10 grandchildren; Two great-grandchildren, all of Washington; Brothers-Wilson and Vernal Shaffer of Madisonville; Stepsons and spouses-Gerald and Bonnie Schmollinger of Bethalto, Ill.; Donald and Cheryl Schmollinger of Greenville, Ill.; James and Donna Schmollinger of Cauldwell, Idaho; Max and Lois Schmollinger of Mountain Grove, Mo.; and Roy and Marsha Schmollinger of Coffeen, Ill.; Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors. Thank you for joining your hearts with ours in the celebration of the life of our beloved mother and grandmother. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, in Biereley-Hale Chapel. Funeral will immediately follow. Interment will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, in Eleazar Cemetery. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, in charge of arrangements.
