Elizabeth Brown, 84, died Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andy Gerdes, who lives about six miles east of Golden. Mrs. Brown had made her home with her daughter for some time. She was born near Mt. Sterling, November 25, 1854, the daughter of Jacob and Mary Kiefer Burkey, natives of Germany. Surviving, besides Mrs. Gerdes is another daughter, Mrs. Nellie Bell, of near golden. Her husband, Charles Brown, died in 1911.
