Leon R. Culler, 73, of Rd 2, Navarre, died suddenly Monday afternoon in a downtown Navarre business place. The Stark County coroner's office said death was caused by a heart attack. Born in Pigeon run, Mr. Culler lived in the Navarre area all his life. He was a farmer until 1942 when he went to work for the Griscom-Russell Co. He retired a year and a half ago. Mr. Culler lived in Navarre for the past three years. He was a member of the Pigeon run Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Surviving Mr. Culler are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Culler; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Goodman of Massillon and Mrs. Carl Steiner of Richville; a son, Carl of RD 2, Navarre; four brothers, Albert, Larry, Dewey and Perry Culler, all of Massillon; a sister, Mrs. Bernice Indorf of Massillon; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bientz-Myers Funeral Home in Navarre. The Rev. C. Wayne Balyeat, Protestant chaplain at the Massillon state hospital and the Rev. Donald Shilling, pastor of the Pigeon Run Evangelical United Brethren Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Massillon Cemetery.
