Ernest J. Holmes
FRIENDSHIP — Ernest J. Holmes, 74, Rt. 2, Hancock, died about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Adams County Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Roseberry Funeral Friendship, the Rev. James Saunders officiating, with burial in White Cemetery, Waushara County.
Mr. Holmes was born Nov. 18, 1900, in the town of Big Flats, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Holmes, and married Florence E. Payne, June 20, 1922, at Friendship. She died Jan. 5, 1975. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are three brothers, Alvin, Friendship; Clifford, Rockford, III.; and Frank Sr., Hancock. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m.. Thursday and Friday until time of services.
