Lola Marie Beard, 65, of rural Convoy, was welcomed home to her eternal home at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2005, from the residence of her nephew in New Haven, Ind.
She was born December 19, 1939, in Van Wert County, the daughter of John William and Marie Magdaleen (Allmandinger) Beard.
Miss Beard retired from General Electric Company in Decatur, Ind. She was a member of Mt. Victory United Brethren Church, also in Decatur.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert O. (Rita) Beard and Bill E. Beard, both of Monroeville, Ind., and Russell L. (Bonnie) Beard of Convoy, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl W. Beard, Paul R. Beard and Leo W. Beard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Ed Gebert officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Viewing hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Home, Health & Hospice or Mt. Victory United Brethren Church.
