James Richmond
James Thomas Richmond, 65, of Milton, Ky., died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 8, 1937, in Trimble County, Ky., the son of Henry and Retta Boldery Richmond. He was an employee of the former Pearl Packing Co. and of the maintenance department at King's Daughters' Hospital.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Taylor Richmond; six daughters, Connie Johnson and Candy Johnson, both of Madison, Darlene Hewitt of Ghent, Ky., Becky Skirvin of Carrollton, Ky., Lynn Webster of Bedford, Ky., and Stacy Perkins of Milton, Ky.; two foster daughters, Jackie Skirvin and Stacy Aldridge, both of Milton, Ky.; four sisters, Catherine Satchwill of Scottsburg, Dorothy Purvis of Bedford, Ky., and Opal Handlon and Virginia Burkhardt, both of Milton; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Blanche Boldery, Thelma Raisor, Ruby Adams and Sylvia Handlon; and three brothers, R.V. Richmond, Tony Richmond and Gilbert Richmond.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EDT Friday at the Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton, with burial in the Moffett Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. EDT Thursday and after 9 a.m. EDT Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Cards are available at the funeral home.
