Martha M. Boenisch, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Home where a rosary will begin at 7 p.m.
Martha was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Garwood to Frank and Annie Popp. She was a longtime area resident and worked as a seamstress at Dickies Western Wear and Bogarts Sportswear and later retired from the Lake Worth ISD after many years of service. Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert A. Boenisch; and siblings, Helen Berger, Herman Popp, Herbert Popp and Emily Boenisch.
Survivors: Children, Leland Boenisch and wife, Sharon, of Aledo, Kenneth Boenisch and fiancee, Yolie Szostek, of Weatherford, and Linda Heinrich and husband, Clinton, of Austin; siblings, Tina Hubenak of Point Comfort, Frank Popp Jr. of Garwood and Mary Ann Kozel of Lake Worth; grandchildren, Kristine, Brandi, Chris, Candace, Bud, Jennifer, Misty, Alicia and Denise; and eight great-grandchildren.
