Mrs. Hannah (Guess) Shepherd, 69, died early today at the home of a son, William J. Shepherd, after an illness of several months from complications. Born in Lee Twp., she had resided in this vicinity several years, and was a member of Christian Church.
Surviving are another son, John of Canton; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Maple and Mrs. Harry Napes of here; a sister, Mrs. Nora Massey of Mechanicstown, and four brothers, Frank Guess of Mechanicstown, Clermont and Edwin of Bergholz. Funeral services in charge of the Blazer-Graham Funeral Home were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from her son's home and at 10:30 in the Christian Church with Rev. F. C. Ford officiating. Burial was in the Harlem Springs Cemetery.
