Curtis Hamilton, 79, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, at his home at 3004 Fleming Court.

Mr. Hamilton was the son of Dennis and Caroline Hunt Hamilton, and was born November 17, 1890, in Louisa county.

He married Lottie E. McConahay in Morning Sun on December 3, 1913. The couple farmed in Louisa county for many years, moving to Burlington in 1942. Mr. Hamilton then worked at the Burlington Railroad shops.

He was a member of the United Methodist church.

Surviving: The wife; two sons, Donald Hamilton, Oakville, and Eugene Hamilton, Morning Sun; two daughters, Mrs. Floreine Cover, Mediapolis, and Mrs. Margie Fox, Burlington; brother and sister Dee Hamilton and Mrs. Phronia McConahay, both of Morning Sun; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Pierce funeral home, Morning Sun, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Reverend Louis Simmen, Elmwood cemetery.
