Mrs. Eleanor L. Groff, 31, of Quarryville R2, was found dead by her husband, Roy E. Groff, Jr., at her home about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. The cause of death was a virulent influenza infection, according to Dr. Charles Bair, deputy coroner.
She was born in Lancaster Co., the daughter of Marlin and Edna Summers Trout, Paradise R1.
Surviving are her husband and parents, and six children: Roy E. III, Donna L., Deloris, Terry Lee, Jeffrey James, and Bryan Glenn, all at home.
Her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Susan Trout, New Providence R1, survives, also the following brothers and sisters: Sara, wife of Nelson Sears, Lancaster; Dorothy, wife of Harold Rhoads, Lancaster; Marlene, Arthur, Donald, Dale, Rhonda, and Robert, all of Paradise R1; and Victor, Gordonville.
