Bernice B. Stark, 85, of Wakefield, died at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Mrs. Stark was born February 16, 1926, the daughter of Andy (Anton) and Veronica (Klingler) Buerster. She married Herman Joseph Stark on April 30, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2009.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Wendelin. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stark is survived by her daughter, Susan Reed; son, David Stark; daughter, Donna Murbarger; son, Frank Stark; 10 grandchildren, Amber Scherer, Chad Stark, Melissa Wood, Josh Stark, Kylie Iffert, Derek Murbarger, Britney Allen, Brandy King, Joe Stark and Lena Stark; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Verneatha Kessler; and sister-in-law, Hermina Buerster, of Noble.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Veronica Buerster; husband, Herman Stark; brothers, George and Lowell Buerster; brother-in-law, Melvin Kessler; and sister-in-law, Georgiana Buerster.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic church with Father Mark Stec officiating.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Wendelin.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Holy Cross Catholic Church of Wendelin.
