"DEATHS - Mrs Emma Tryon - Mrs Walter S Tryon, North Third street, received word yesterday of the death of Mrs Emma Tryon, who passed away at Maricopa, Cal, Wednesday, aged 85 years. She formerly lived in Tryonville and Titusville and went to California a few years ago, following the death of her husband. She was a member of the Titusville First Methodist church. She leaves one son, Schuyler G Tryon, and two grandchildren, all in California. The interment will be in Bakersfield, Cal."

Her husband, George W Tryon, a Civil War veteran, passed away at Tryonville in 1916. Mrs Tryon leaves one son, Schuyler G Tryon, with whom she has made her home for fifteen years; also two granddaughters, Beatrice Tryon Wallace and Katherine Tryon Ross, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs Tryon was a consistent Christian, being always identified in some church, her membership at her death being in the Congregational church of Maricopa, Cal, where she was well known and loved for her sterling qualities."
