Mrs. Roth Dies at 97
Funeral To Be Held Thursday at Helenville
HELENVILLE - Mrs. Barbara Roth, 97, one of the oldest residents of the Helenville area died at 2 a.m. today at the Jefferson Hospital. A lifelong resident of Helenville, she was born Aug. 12, 1865, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Pfeifer.
Her marriage to Leonard Roth took place Sept. 25, 1898. He died Oct. 12, 1927.
Mrs. Roth was the oldest member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son Roy, with whom she made her home, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Bell and Mrs. Harry Gehler. Fort ATkinson, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Philip Pfeifer, Jefferson. Two sons, Otto and Paul preceded her in death.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Church. The Rev. G. P. Fischer will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects at the Minshall funeral Home Jefferson from Wednesday noon to Thursday noon after which the body will be taken to the church to lie in state.
