"Mrs. Rachel Ann aged 80, widow of James Buchanan farmer of Hay Creek Mills, a mile north of Joanna Heights died last evening after a brief illness from the effects of a cold which sapped the vigor of the aged woman and developed other complications. Deceased was the daughter of Peter and Isabella Suplee of Honey Brook and was born 20 June 1838. She is survived by these brothers ans sisters. Catharine, and Lucetta Supplee, Mrs. Elizabeth Crouse, Mrs. Laura Mast, and Elliott of Honey Brook and George of Lancaster. In this family branch there are 39 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. For more than a quarter of a century she was a resident of the locality and during that time, through her motherly and sympathetic nature formed a host of friends. In all circumstances and in the perplexing trials of life her benevolent nature always was ready to aid and succor wherever her presence was needed. It was done cheerfully and the sacrifice on her part was as nothing if she could only be of service. She was a member of Harmony Methodist Church for a number of years. Funeral Wed Feb. Rev Walter H. Humphreys of Geigertown will officiate assisted by Rev. I. S. Seitz of Honey Brook. Arrangements are in charge of Edwin F. Mohr, funeral director of Birdsboro.
