Died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1987, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 85 [sic 75], a native of Centreville, Miss., and resident of Baton Rouge.
Visiting at Hollabaugh-Spindle Wooddale Memorial Chapel, noon Wednesday until religious services at 4 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bill Boulton. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by two daughters, Margaret Jackson and Barbara Laiche, both of Gonzales; two sons, Dennis and Dale Metcalfe, both of Vidalia; four sisters, Mrs. Sozo Rushing, Denham Springs, Mary Anthony, Lynn Greenhill and Dolly Boeneke, all of Baton Rouge; a brother, Jenning Metcalfe, Baker; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, Thomas Metcalfe.
He was a member of Methodist Church, Centreville.
