Mrs. Cora Hight Succumbs At 84
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Agnes Hight, 84, of Route 1, Beckley, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Peace Chapel with Rev. Charles Bass in charge. Burial will be Teel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frederick Bennett, Ted Stover, Orville Ballengee, Robert D. Walker, Lloyd Walker Jr. and Melvin Dillon.
She died at 9 a.m. Monday in a local hospital.
A lifelong resident of Raleigh County and a member of the Prosperity Church of Christ, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel P. Hight, July 4, 1964.
Born April 27, 1883 at Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Susan Fox Bennett. She is survived by two granddaughters, and seven great-grandchildren.
