A mass of Christian burial for Elizabeth D. Cox, 60, formerly of Muncie, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church here.

Her son, Rev. Alan B. Cox, recently transferred from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson to St. Francis of Assisi Church here, and Rev. William Grady and Rev. David Douglas will officiate at the mass. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are at Meeks Mortuary from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited there at 4:30 p.m. today. Memorials may be directed to the Cancer Society.

Mrs. Cox died Sunday evening in White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello, after an extended illness. Born in Liberty, Ky., she spent her early years there and moved to Muncie in 1929 with her parents. She attended Blaine and Garfield elementary schools and graduated from Central High School.

Mrs. Cox was formerly employed at Ball Corp., Farm and City Homes, W.C. Cline Accounting and Muncie Paving Company. She was also active in numerous civic organizations, was a member of St. Mary's Church here and was a past president of Knight's Wives.

Surviving besides her son are her husband, Malcolm Cox; a daughter, Alicia D. Cox, Washington, D.C.; her mother, Mrs. Ola Douglas, Bradenton, Fla.; three sisters, Laura Ellis, Bradenton, and Joanna Whitcomb and Marian Wade, both of Muncie. and a brother, Jerry Douglas. Her father died June 2.
