Mr. Roby Lee Adams, age 80, of Millers Creek, died April 9, 2012 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1931 in Wilkes County to Dewey Monroe and Virginia Delpha Wood Adams. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne Adams and J.D. Adams; and one sister, Joyce Dancy.

Surviving are one brother, Dean Adams and wife Margaret of Purlear; and three sisters, Bobbie Benge and husband William "Bondo" of Millers Creek, Faye Hendren and husband Lester of Millers Creek, Carol Stroud and husband Louis of Columbia, South Carolina; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 o'clock Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Sherrill Wellborn and Rev. Steve Faw officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock Wednesday night. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity donor's choice. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
