Isabella Thompson was born in May 1824 in Rush County, Indiana, the youngest of 11 children of James and Mary Thompson. She lived her entire life in Rush County, IN. She died sometime after 1900. Isabella was age 14 when her father died in 1838, so her brother-in-law, Charles Miller, was made her guardian by the Probate Court of Rush Co. Michael Mills and Isabelle Thompson were married on 8 Mar 1854 in Rush Co., IN. Michael died in 1890 and was buried in Richland ME Cemetery so it is assumed that Isabella was buried close by. Two of her sons are also buried in Richland ME Cemetery. Her son, James W's stone is laying on the ground on top of another stone, perhaps it is the marker for Isabella?
