Mrs. Hoover was a homemaker.
She was born Dec. 23,1921, at Eckley to Cyrus and Ella May Neuschwanger Peterson. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Benett. She later moved to Boulder.
She married Richard C. Hoover Sept. 1, 1956, in Boulder. He survives.
They moved to Delta in 1971.
Mrs. Hoover enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.
Other survivors include tow daughters, Genie Carr of Lancaster, Calif., and Jerri Crouch of Rock Springs, Wyo.; two sisters, Ester Krout of Grand Junction and Ella Mae Butts of Colorado Springs; five brothers, Loyal Peterson of Montrose, James Peterson of Boise,Idaho, Orville Peterson of Denver and Clero Peterson of West Covina,Calif.;and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Memory Gardens of Delta County Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Harmeling officiating.
Mesa View Mortuary in Delta is in charge of arrangements.
