Mrs. Pierce W. Herr Passes Away Tuesday At Daughter's Home

Mrs. Prudent Frances Herr, native resident of Jefferson county, and well known in this community, passed away Tuesday night, February 7, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Frederick, 2410 Federal Blvd., Denver. Death was caused by a heart ailment. Mrs. Herr was taken to the home of her daughter one month ago, when her condition became serious. Prudent Frances Groom was born in Morrison, May 25, 1882, the daughter of Nancy and John T. Groom. She spent her girlhood in Morrison and received her education in the schools of that city. On October 16, 1904, she was united in marriage to Pierce Webb Herr. They first made their home in Fraser, Colo., returning to Jefferson county in 1910, and have since resided here. She is survived by her husband, Pierce W. Herr; two daughters, Mrs. Frederick and Mrs. Agnes Sheline, Denver; a son, Chester Herr, who lived at home; four sisters, Mrs. Effie Knoll, Mrs. Julia Baker, Miss Emma Groom, and Mrs. Kate Fuller, Morrison; two brothers, Ed Groom, Morrison, and James Groom, Denver. Funeral services will be held from the Woods Mortuary chapel at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon, with interment in the Morrison cemetery.
