Fenner A. Satchwell- Funeral services for Mr. Satchwell, who died Thursday, were conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Derry Funeral Chapel and were largely attended. The Rev. J.Samuel Johnson, pastor of the Ocean View Baptist Church, officiated. There were many beautiful floral offerings, the casket being covered with a pall of Easter lilies, roses and fern. Pretlow Ambrose sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. F.M. Ambrose.
Pallbearers were J.A. Phipps, J.W. Boggs, F.A. Tiederman, F.H. Vereen, W.E. Dailey and E. D. Walker. A large delegation from the Norfolk Fire Department, of which Mr. Satchwell was a retired member, attended in a body and acted as an escort. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
