In 1914, after husband, Metro immigrated to Canada, she was forced to stay in home village of Rohizna, Ukraine with children Annie, Sophie, Nicolas and Minnie.She immigrated in 1924 to Lethbridge, Alberta. with daughter Minnie and son Nick. Passenger Declaration on SS Canopic she was listed under the name Elena Jazlowska She was tall 5' 9" but was never a heavy woman. Fair hair and complexion with blue eyes.
